Homemade York Peppermint Patties

In my attempt to eat whole foods (no added junk) I decided to make these. Found here: http://http//www.joyfulabode.com/2010/06/10/homemade-york-peppermint-patty-recipe/
They are delicious! Only 4 ingredients (well, I added a coconut flakes for texture). Best part - they only took about 20 minutes to make!
Homemade York Peppermint Patties
  • 1 cup Coconut Butter
  • Peppermint Oil
  • Honey
  • Finely Shredded Coconut (optional)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate

1. Combine 1st 3 ingredients thoroughly and shape into 1 inch patties. Place on parchment paper and put in freezer (only a few minutes).

2. Melt Chocolate.

3. With a fork dip patties into melted chocolate and place back onto parchment paper.

4. Place in freezer or refrigerator to set.

5. Enjoy!

My Best Friend's Wedding {& makeup}

I have been doing bridal makeup for about 5 years now. I LOVE it. Fortunately, I have been able to work with some really great brides. Going forward, I will be sharing the makeup I do for these lovely ladies. But first, a look into the past...

The first bride I want to share is Erica. My BF since 3rd grade. Her wedding was amazing. Very elegant, simple, clean, and Martha-esque. Her look was classy and romantic. Focus was on her eyes...

PS- The handsome officiant that married them is my man :)

The First Post

I have blogging anxiety... the first post. What to say??? SO MUCH actually. I have been wanting to do this for a while now, but have procrastinated and procrastinated some more. That stops right now. So why- out of all days - did I decide to do this today? Well, it might be because I have watched this like 5 times...
